Our First Day in the Emerald Isle

Friends,
We are here near Trinity College watching the throngs of people waiting for Pres. Obama to pass by. He came in this AM to Dublin and we saw his plane when we landed. It has been a crazy day here because of his visit. Our bus from the airport stopped about a 1/2 mile from our hostel and we had to walk the rest of the way. The wind is horrific and it is chilly. I had to pull my suitcase(the big one) to the hostel. My elbows hurt.
Paddy's Palace is one street from the Liffey-the river thru town. It is not a bad place. Our room holds 10people -5 bunks, clean linens and a pillow! We met a lady from IN. and 2 girls from WI. Took a little rest, a shower and clean clothes. We wanted to walk to the Temple Bar but are waylaid with this Obama visit. Could not blog in either airport because they cost for usage.
Tomorrow we leave at 8AM for a tour to Kilkenny. It's an all day venture. Met a real Irish lass on the plane. She and Tom talked music for awhile. She is a singer and Spec. Ed. teacher. Go figure. Well this is all for now. We are going to try and buck the crowds and get to Temple Bar, the hot spot to go. Ta Ta.
